More correctly called Plantation or Colonial shutters, they come in a series of panels attached to the inside of the window. The slats in each panel rotate in the same manner as Venetians. Each panel is hinged on the side to open in the same manner as a door. Up to three shutter panels can be attached to open in concertina fashion.
Shutters are available in various wood shades as well as solid colours and they can also be made to fit arched windows.
